Linking London is a unique partnership of London universities, colleges and other education specialists dedicated to working collaboratively to identify opportunities and to meet the challenges of the new educational landscape, building on our experience and track record of the past thirteen years. Our members range from large multipurpose further education colleges through to highly prestigious research-intensive universities, training providers, awarding bodies and trade unions.

Rose Bruford College

  • Rose Bruford College is a drama and theatre school. It was originallyRB established in 1950 as The Rose Bruford Training College of Speech and Drama. Rose Bruford founded the college as part of her mission to train actors who could teach and teachers who could act.

City of Westminster College

    Coulsdon College

    • Coulsdon College

      Coulsdon Sixth Form College specialises in providing high quality education for 16-19 year old students in a supportive and caring community and is committed to equality of rights and opportunity.

      Since March 2013, Reigate Sixth Form College has provided strategic leadership and management to Coulsdon College and is assisting Coulsdon, on its journey to becoming 'Outstanding.'

      Fundamental changes have been made across the College and these have now been formally recognised by the College's 'Good' Ofsted Report (published April 2014) and Matthew Hancock MP, Minister for Skills and Enterprise at the Department for Education.

    Harrow College

    • Harrow CollegeHarrow College is a community college of further education based in Harrow, Middlesex. They offer academic and vocational courses with a large choice of A-levels, HNDs, BTECs, NVQs and Apprenticeships. With a history of high success rates, Harrow College strives to provide a high level of education and progression for 16-18 year olds and is first for adult education in London.

      Harrow College were one of the first colleges in the country to provide appropriate, tailor-made courses for adults with learning disabilities, where they study alongside, and integrate with, mainstream learners.

      The college has around 2,000 full time students and over 7,000 students on part time courses across two north London campuses and in 2013 was rated as Good by Ofsted.

      The college has also been awarded Centre of Excellence for the Hearing Impaired, the only centre of its kind in north-west London. It is also a member of the Westminster Centre of Excellence in Teacher Training (CETT). As holders of the Matrix standard, Harrow College has continued to demonstrate quality and support to students achieving their goals.

      What's on offer?

      Students at Harrow College come from the local community and overseas to enjoy focused learning in a friendly atmosphere and are encouraged to use the facilities to enrich their college experience.

      Facilities include excellent IT equipment with more than 1,000 computers loaded with the latest software, a careers department for expert guidance and professional drama, photography, art and design studios. The Harrow Weald campus also has a state of the art gym called Energize.

    Haringey Sixth Form College

    • Haringey Sixth Form CollegeHaringey Sixth Form College offer an exciting way to study. They are experts in A Levels and Vocational pathways. The A Level Pathways are designed to move you a step closer to your future aspirations. They offer unique study packages entirely focused on providing you with the latest skills, experiences and qualifications to enable you to pursue a career or University degree in a particular area of interest. A Level subjects are grouped together into career pathways containing complementary subjects to help you choose the most appropriate course for your career goal. A Levels are also part of our Russell Group / Oxbridge Forum.

      The College has specialised in Vocational Courses for several years, these can lead you directly to University, Apprenticeships or Employment. Vocational courses are offered at a wide range of levels to suit everyone. Studying on one of the colleges Vocational courses involves continuous assessment mainly through coursework, practical work, related assignments, work experience, a small amount of externally assessed examinations and in some cases online tests.

      Haringey Sixth Form College has a commitment to success. In 2016 over 90% of all students who applied, progressed to university our students 61% of students achieved the top A-level grades and 93% achieved at BTEC Level 3.

      More than 1,200 of the college's students have gone on to study at universities since our first cohort in 2008, including the top 24 universities that make up the Russell Group, and the college offer plenty of help with your first job applications.

      The college offers a wide range of courses with more than 20 AS/A2 Level subjects and BTEC courses in 15 different vocational areas.

      Havering College of Further and Higher Education is a large provider of higher education in London. The College sees teaching and learning as its first priority and is very much a resource provided by the community for the community. The College’s mission is to deliver high quality education and training that responds to the needs of employers and individuals. The College’s purpose is to attract and retain learners to ensure that they achieve and thereby raise standards, widen participation, address social exclusion and contribute to economic growth.

      The College provides higher education in Engineering, Construction, Health and Social Care and Early Years, Education and Social Work. Courses can be tailored to meet the needs of individuals including businesses and employers and can be delivered in College or in the workplace, in a flexible and supportive way.

      Havering College supports progression from level 1 or 2 right through to degree level. The College has a ‘Curriculum Map’ that has received much external praise to facilitate this internal progression.

      The College serves the local community of the London Borough of Havering and attracts students from east and north London, Essex and Hertfordshire.

      The College continues to meet challenging targets it sets for itself and also those targets which are presented by external agencies. Achievement rates are good, and in some areas outstanding and in the most recent Ofsted report the College maintained a good grade with some outstanding features.

      The campus in Wingletye Lane provides high quality teaching and learning to some 2400 students aged 16-19, combining buildings that pre-date its opening with new teaching spaces.  In 2015 the college opened its newest building housing ICT and in 2017 opened the newly created Wolfson Laboratories, for the teaching of Chemistry: a state-of-the art facility.  Summer 2018 will see the completion of an industry-standard digital arts studio, part of the college’s ongoing commitment to develop and maintain a high quality physical learning environment.

      The college offers over 70 courses, mainly at Level 3, including over 30 A Levels. A small Level 2 provision completes the curriculum offer.  The college is committed to providing high quality teaching and learning that is designed to enhance the employability and achievement of all of its students and to continually improving its curriculum offer to ensure that it meets the needs of the young people of Havering and beyond.

      Richmond upon Thames College is a leading general further education college located in Twickenham, south west London. The college offers a broad and innovative curriculum for post 16 study including A Levels and an extensive range of vocational and technical qualifications (diplomas and certificates) and apprenticeships from entry level to level 5.     South Thames College

    • South Thames CollegeSouth Thames College was founded in 1895, funded by a tax on whiskey! Students had to pay what was then a substantial fee of £1 a term for day classes. There were around 500 students studying there, a large number for those times. 

      Today, over 21,000 students are enrolled at South Thames College, and government funded courses like BTEC Nationals and A-levels are free for 16-19 year olds.

      In 2009, the College merged with Merton College, another thriving education establishment in South West London.

      Uxbridge College is a general further education College, situated in the London Borough of Hillingdon, in the outer area of west London, with campuses in Uxbridge and Hayes. The College has consistently high success rates and was graded outstanding by Ofsted in their most recent inspection.

      A diverse range of vocational and academic programmes is on offer for young people and adults, with over 10,000 students studying full and part-time courses, Apprenticeships and Higher Education.     • Pearson’s main qualifications at level 3 are AS/A levels, provided through their brand of Edexcel, and BTEC Nationals. The number of students entering university with a BTEC has grown considerably in recent years, increasing from just 13.3 per cent in 2008 to 24.3 per cent in 2015. The BTEC Nationals have made a significant contribution to widening participation in Higher Education. In 2017, 41% of students entering university with a BTEC only had parents who came from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, compared to just 20% of students taking only A levels. 

    • Pearson offers higher level qualifications, including the BTEC Higher National Certificates at level 4 and BTEC Higher National Diplomas at level 5. These have undergone a phased redevelopment with new qualifications introduced between 2016 and 2018. 

    • In 2020, Pearson is introducing a new suite of BTEC International Level 3 qualifications. The content has been aligned with that of the reformed BTEC National qualifications delivered in the UK, but includes the flexibility to allow adaptation to meet the needs of individual countries.

    • Pearson College was founded in 2012 and delivers degree programmes, which are validated by the University of Kent. These are mainly in the areas of business management and creative & digital media. It now offers degree apprenticeships as well as traditional undergraduate programmes.

      We deliver programmes for over 5000 learners annually.
