Linking London's Mission and Objectives

Mission

Linking London is a unique partnership of London universities, colleges and others dedicated to working collaboratively to identify opportunities and to meet the challenges of the new educational landscape, building on our experience and track record of the past five years.

The core aims are to support recruitment, retention and progression to and through higher education.

Through Linking London membership partners can work collaboratively, and individually, to maximise their contribution to targeted widening participation, social mobility and in pursuit of improvements in social justice through education.

Broad Objectives

  1. To support partners in areas of both strategic and operational importance (see Partner Services for more details) through a consultancy service to individual members in  support of key institutional objectives, and to provide a service for professional and organisational capacity improvement.
  2. To provide a forum for information, discussion and networking on matters of importance to all sectors in education to ensure a pro-active, collective voice, and to provide opportunities for networking with stakeholders and employers, whose views and approaches have relevance to the world of education both in terms of design and delivery.
  3. To provide access to, and facilitation for, combined work with a national network of stakeholders and key national bodies e.g. UCAS, SPA, PARN, NIACE, UVAC etc.
  4. To support innovation and work for quality outcomes.
  5. To provide cost-effective and efficient solutions for partners.
