London NCOP- Linking London Update

We have kicked off the academic year with some brilliant activities and engagement.

Despite colleges only having been open for around 6 weeks, we have had a total of 135 activities (a mixture of group and one to ones) with an engagement of 99 ward learners and 30 extra learners.

In Hubs 1 and 2 our Engagement Officers have already been hard at work delivering a number of one to one advice sessions with target learners; reengaging learners from Phase 1 also. Some of our collaborative projects have kicked off too with Ravensbourne University London and Middlesex University London offering a variety of subject taster sessions and bespoke IAG.

We have also been busy planning the launch of some of our other projects such as the University of Arts London’s creative ambassadors in colleges, an Engagement Officer post at London South East Colleges (Hub 3) and a study skills project between St Mary’s University London and Richmond upon Thames College. As last year’s summer schools were such a success, we will be running them again this year with an addition of a collaborative creative summer school in Easter between Ravensbourne University London, the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and goldsmiths University London.
