Higher and Degree Apprenticeship (HADA) Group Meeting
After a warm welcome from Darryll Bravenboer, Director of Apprenticeships and Skills at Middlesex University London, the meeting began with a presentation from Mukesh Limbachiya, Head of Apprenticeships at Kingston University, who presented to the group giving an overview of the Higher-Level Apprenticeship developments at Kingston University, including an introduction to their apprenticeship programmes and apprenticeship portfolio, their new online portal, the Ofsted inspection and the lessons learnt.
This was followed by a college and university round table update from partners on the latest news on current offer and plans going forward. Discussion included preparing for the Ofsted inspections, how we can collaborate as a partnership and upcoming projects.
After a short comfort break, Mandy Crawford Lee, Chief Executive at University Vocational Awards Council (UVAC) presented to the group giving an overview of higher and degree level apprenticeships news and developments and what's coming down the line including, Higher Level Vocational Learning, T Levels, Applied Generals and the Technical Pathway and the issues for HE, apprenticeship priorities, occupational standards and maps.
Lastly the group discussed priorities for future meetings which included hearing from college partners and looking at London labour market skills gaps.
The next HADA meeting will take place in the Spring term, date and time TBC.
