Access to HE Diploma Practitioner Group Meeting
After a warm welcome from Andrew Jones, Linking London, delegates heard from Marisa Castellini, Head of Access to HE at OCN London who presented on the latest Access and OCN London news and developments including Access learner data 2020-21, recruitment numbers this year, QAA updates and new/updated Diplomas available for 2022-23. The group then discussed how their college is seeing numbers for Access enrolments and also in terms of the Lifetime Skills Guarantee.
Attendees then went into 2 breakout groups to discuss to discuss ‘What support do colleges need in the year ahead and how can our university partners and Linking London help?’. The full write up of the discussions can be found on the SharePoint Partner.
After a short break Andrew Jones and Jess Brown from Linking London gave the group a Linking London and Uni Connect update including an overview of some updated Linking London resources, the Educational Deprivation Dashboard for London and our Uni Connect Work.
Following this a roundtable partner update followed where partners shared information on new access courses, support universities are offering to colleges for access students and upcoming on campus and online events.
Lastly, we heard from Jess Brown at Linking London who presented to the group the key findings from mapping of sample entry requirements for Access to HE Diploma Applicants – 2022 Entry.
