This meeting featured presentations from Maighread Hegarty, Deputy Director, Academic Quality and Enhancement, London South Bank University and Anwar Azari, Contracts Manager, Middlesex University London.

The second Higher and Degree Apprenticeship (HADA) meeting of this year was well represented, with both HE and FE partners present.

After a warm welcome from the Chair, Darryll Bravenboer, Director of Apprenticeships and Skills, Middlesex University London, the meeting began with a presentation from Maighread Hegarty, LSBU. Maighread presented to the group on validating and approving higher level apprenticeship programmes from an LSBU perspective.

A roundtable partner update then followed where partners discussed and shared issues and good practice related to HADA developments.

After a short networking break, the group heard from Anwar Azari, Middlesex University London. Anwar led a session on procurement and contracting from a Middlesex perspective.

Following this, the group discussed and shared ideas on their approaches and processes with level 2 qualifications in English and maths.

The meeting closed with the group contributing their thoughts towards the priorities for the meetings going forward.

The next HADA meeting will take place on 20 June 2019, 2-4:30pm, Birkbeck, University of London.
