NCOP Update
In Hub 1 our Linking London employed Engagement Officers have had their job titles changed to more accurately represent the vast array of work they do, they have been changed to Engagement Coordinators, a big congratulations to both! In terms of delivery our engagement coordinators have been continuing one-to-one support for students via phone, email and video-chatting, they are also in the process of recruiting students to take part in online mentoring activities.
In hub 2 at LSEC our engagement officer has been busy offering online and phone support to both ward learners and a wider cohort of students, in light of the OfS widening the scope of students we are now able to work with. St Mary’s University has also been providing bespoke study skills resources to be delivered to students online. At Croydon College students are continuing to receive one to one support with a focus on year 13 learners and supporting their journey into HE courses in September.
In hub 3 St Mary’s university are continuing to develop and circulate resources for use at RUTC, particularly focusing on their specialised subject areas, BTEC Business and Sport.
Aside from hub activity, in the central team we are working closely with Brightside to adapt some of our face-to-face delivery and move it online in the form of one-to-one mentoring, making use of the wide range of resources and knowledge our university partners have. We are hoping to launch the first of these projects in mid-May with more to follow before the summer break.

May 2020: Linking London NCOP - Outreach Hub Update
We have been focusing on resource development over the last month, as well as keeping up with all of the fantastic online resources that have been developed across the sector to support careers advisers. Our bulletin is going out tomorrow (Tuesday 5th May) and will include links to the various resources and events happening at the moment – if you would like to be added to the mailing list click here. This week, we are launching our online discussion forum for college careers staff and HE outreach staff to provide a platform for best practice sharing, discussing common challenges and proper solutions, and network building. This group is on LinkedIn and you can request to join here. As always, if you have any questions or requests for support, do get in touch with Jess or Melanie.
