London NCOP - Linking London Update
In Hubs 1 and 2 our engagement officers have been offering one-to-one sessions to edit and submit personal statements as part of the UCAS application process. The UAL creative graduates programme has also continues across colleges with continued success. Focus Groups will be facilitated in the coming weeks during final sessions to gain student feedback for improvements in future cohorts.
In Hub 3 work at Richmond upon Thames College has begun with ambassadors from St Mary’s University London offering student support in Business and Sport.
We are delighted to have appointed a fulltime Engagement Officer in London South East Colleges, Tassaree Wilson. Tassaree has been in post for two weeks and is already working with learners to facilitate activity via group sessions and one to one support in Hub 2.
The central team has developed a Student Finance Guide for parents that will be available in print and online in the coming weeks.

Linking London NCOP Outreach Hub Update
We are continuing to meet with London college careers staff to gain a better picture of the needs of their Level 3 students and how our Linking London Outreach Hub can support their work. On February 14th, we will be holding our first event from 11:00-13:00 with lunch provided. We invite all London colleges to send a representative to this networking event with our HE partners which will provide an opportunity to discuss common challenges in supporting college students into HE. If you’d like to attend, please email Jess or Melanie. We plan to hold two more events aimed at London college staff and our university partners during this academic year. Our first Outreach Hub bulletin will be sent out during the first week of February – so if you haven’t received it and would like to, please get in touch.
