IAG Practitioner Group Meeting Webinar

The third IAG Practitioner Group meeting of this academic year took place on 23rd April online with our first webinar and was well attended by college and HEI partner representatives.

The meeting began with a presentation led by Clare Cozens, UCAS Relationship Manager who presented on the latest news, UCAS’ response on Covid-19 and future developments including 2021 entry changes and UCAS Hub. This was followed by a short Q&A where participants could write in any questions they had.

Following this, the group then heard from Dr Michelle Stewart, from the Centre for Career and Personal Development at Canterbury Christchurch University who presented on providing online careers advice and how to tackle any issues that may arise such as safeguarding, engagement and motivation. Michelle also shared some useful resources for providers of career advice to the group.

After a short comfort break, Linking London then gave an update on the resources available on our Partner Area and provided information on Higher and Degree Apprenticeship Opportunities in Greater London including recent mapping done and what information was found. Four of our HE partners then gave an update on recent news, events and on providing online IAG/outreach support to college learners planning to progress to HE.
