BTEC and T Level Event Webinar

On the 21st May, Linking London held the BTEC and T levels event webinar. The first half of the event looked at BTEC developments and plans for the summer in terms of awarding grades and results. The second half looked at T Levels including latest developments and preparations for September 2020 and onwards.

After a warm welcome from Andrew Jones, Director at Linking London, delegates heard first from David McKay and Ria Bhatta  who presented to the group on the latest developments on BTECs and the process in how BTECs will be awarded in summer 2020 including the timeline for activities, the process for submission of centre assessment grades and rank order. This was followed by a Q&A session. 

A college and university partner update then followed where partners could share information on work with BTEC learners and any news updates. 

After a short comfort break, attendees then heard from Judith O’Neill, Director Vocational and HE, HCUC Uxbridge College, who provided an update on T Level developments and what is planned for delivery in September 2020, as well as 2021 and 2022 and what challenges there might be. Suzanne Hall, Head of Product: Technical and Professional, Pearsonthen presented to the group on an update on T Levels including its structure and assessment, availability and scheduling of assessment and looking at September 2020. Attendees then had a chance to ask any questions.
