IAG Practitioner Group Meeting Webinar

The second IAG Practitioner Group meeting of this academic year took place on 21st January online and was well attended by college and HEI partner representatives.

The meeting began with a presentation led by James Corbett OBE and Stacey Aspinall, IAG policy officer HTE reforms, Higher Technical Education Division, Department for Education who presented on recent level 4 and 5 developments and an update of the latest HTE reforms. 

Following this, Linking London then gave an update on future resources being produced such as a Level 4 and 5 guide for students and T Level mapping and the Outreach Hub also provided information on new resources, news and developments including a Humanities events on the 10th February. Several of our partners then gave an update on recent news and events including financial support being offered, online workshops/tutorials and events. 

After a short comfort break, the group then heard from Kiran Rami, Head of Guidance and Support, Uxbridge College (HCUC) who presented on careers guidance during lockdown including giving a background on the impact of the pandemic on career activity and looking at the issues for staff and students. 

Lastly Ben Rutter, Funding Information Partners Account Manager, Partner Services, Student Loans Company presented on the latest news and updates, including 2021/22 student finance arrangements, EU student eligibility, and the 2021/22 early application campaign.
