Higher and Degree Apprenticeship meeting

This meeting featured presentations from Louise Doyle, Co-founder and Director, Mesma and Mandy Crawford-Lee Director of Policy and Operations & Associate Editor of Higher Education, Skills and Work-based Learning, University Vocational Awards Council (UVAC).

The third and last Higher and Degree Apprenticeship (HADA) meeting of this year was well represented, with both HE and FE partners present.

After a warm welcome from the Chair, Darryll Bravenboer, Director of Apprenticeships and Skills, Middlesex University London, the meeting began with a presentation from Louise Doyle, Mesma. Louise presented on all things Ofsted and Apprenticeships and looked at how providers can prepare for an Ofsted inspection.

A roundtable partner update then followed where partners discussed and shared issues and good practice related to HADA developments and delivery.

After a short networking break, the group heard from Mandy Crawford-Lee, UVAC, who provided a national overview of the apprenticeship policy landscape.

The meeting closed with the group contributing their thoughts towards the key priorities for the meetings going forward.

The next HADA meeting will take place in November - date and time TBC. All future events information can be found here.
