Lifelong Loan Entitlement - Challenges and Opportunities for HE and FE Event

On the 19th April Linking London held an event focused around what we know so far, and the potential challenges and opportunities for HE and FE when the Lifelong Loan Entitlement (LLE) is launched in a little over 2 years’ time.

After introductions and an opening welcome from our Director Andrew Jones, we then had some scene setting from Jakub Kowalewski, Partnership Officer at Linking London who provided an overview of the key points from the recent DfE response to the LLE consultation. Partners then heard from colleagues from both FE and HE who provided their perspectives on the LLE. Attendees heard from Dr Arti Saraswat, Senior Policy Manager, Higher Education, Association of Colleges, followed by Deborah James, HE Policy Analyst, St Marys University, Twickenham London.

Lastly, attendees then had a group discussion exploring how FE and HE can collaborate on this agenda going forward.

The event closed with thanking everyone for their contributions throughout the afternoon.
