On 25 June, St Mary's University, Twickenham, and Middlesex University London held a Teachers and Advisers Conference at the NCVO centre near Kings Cross. The day started with an opening address by Sue Betts, Director of Linking London who introduced the Linking London NCOP and the themes for the day. Martin Loomes, Executive Dean and Pro-Vice Chancellor of Middlesex University then delivered an inspiring presentation on the role of technology in future careers. Nikki Anghileri, Learning and Development Manager at St Mary's University then gave a talk on the various academic and pastoral support programmes available to students. After a delicious lunch, Darryll Bravenboer, Director of Apprenticeships and Skills at Middlesex University spoke on degree apprenticeships as alternative pathways for professional careers and the afternoon ended with a talk and Q&A from Susie King, Head of Admissions at Middlesex University.
