Apprenticeships
Linking London has worked to make it easier for all qualifications to have greater recognition and understanding, so that learners with those qualifications can make a more seamless transition into higher education. Apprenticeship progression is one of our key areas of work, which we know is a priority for many of our partners.
An overview of this work is included in a publication by Linking London called ‘Apprenticeship and Higher Education. To go to the resources section to view a summary of this document as well as instructions on how to receive a copy click here.

Linking London Apprenticeship Admissions Pledge
Linking London have developed an apprenticeship pledge, shared with and approved by board members, which aims to help improve progression rates onto HE provision from advanced apprenticeships. This would involve our university and college partners mapping their HE provision to specific advanced apprenticeship frameworks with a view to identifying suitable progression opportunities in their institution.
Linking London would be responsible for co-ordinating the development of the pledge along with producing IAG materials, including information on our partners who are involved in the pledge and your offer to advanced apprentices as well as working closely with partners and organisations like the National Apprenticeship Service, unionlearn, to market the pledge to apprentices, employers, advisers, support staff and parents.
The deadline for responses to the pledge is the 20th of April. If your institution would like to become involved in the pledge please contact Andrew Jones: as.jones@linkinglondon.ac.uk as soon as possible for further information.
