Widening Access to Postgraduate Study Event

Increasingly described as the new frontier of social mobility, this event will focus on how we widen access to postgraduate study. The event will explore what the issues are, how we identify WP students, current outreach practice and how we can work together going forward.   

Attendees will hear from Professor Paul Wakeling, Head of Department of Education, from the University of York, author of a number of important publications focussing on postgraduate education and social mobility and from Rosie Cox, Professor of Geography, on Birkbeck University of London's innovative postgraduate widening access strategy. This will be followed by group discussion which will provide an opportunity for partners to share good practice, identify solutions and areas for collaboration.
