The second Access to HE Diploma practitioner group meeting of this academic year will explore key developments in terms of delivery, assessment and awarding of Access to HE Diplomas, in the context of the ongoing lockdown.  The group will hear from Marisa Castellini, Head of Access to HE at OCN London, who will be updating the group on the latest Access news and developments and OCN news, as well as sharing a summary of feedback from colleges from the past year. Marisa will also be sharing the key findings of the new QAA Improving Social Mobility Through Access to HE Diplomas publication, which shows how the qualification benefits not only students, but higher education providers and society.

At the meeting attendees will also hear perspectives from our college partners, including from Alison Stanbury Quality Enhancement Manager at Morley College London, and Roslyn O'Garro, Access to HE Diploma Coordinator, West London College, on how they have adapted their teaching and learning online, including challenges and lessons learnt. This will be followed by breakout discussion groups providing an opportunity for attendees to explore issues and share good practice, including hearing from our university partners on their admissions processes in these unprecedented times and perspectives on the Access class of 2020 and how they are faring in their first year of HE.
