Apprenticeship and Progression to Higher Education

Building on from previous Linking London events the aim of this event is to explore higher education progression opportunities for Advanced Apprentices. The event will include an update on apprenticeships from Negat Lodhi, Business Development Manager of the National Apprenticeship Service, including the latest developments around Higher Apprenticeship frameworks.

Adrian Anderson, Chief Executive of the University Vocational Awards Council (UVAC) will be providing an overview of UVAC’s work with Middlesex University and Construction Skills in developing and implementing a higher apprenticeship framework in Construction Operations Management.

Delegates will also hear from Sharon Smith, co-author of the Apprentice Progression Tracking Research project Report, completed by the University of Greenwich and funded by the Kent and Medway Lifelong Learning Network, about the findings of this research.

Linking London will also be providing an update of its work in this area and exploring with delegates how to move this agenda forward.
