At this meeting, chaired by Darryll Bravenboer, Director of Apprenticeships and Skills at Middlesex University London, attendees will hear from:

  • Pat Carvalho, Principal of Harrow and Deputy CEO of HCUC, on the latest developments in relation to the West London Institute of Technology, focusing on working collaboratively with employers to maximise their levy spend.

  • Darryll Bravenboer, who will be sharing the key findings from the Middlesex University Edge Foundation project report on the Sustainable Conditions for Degree Apprenticeships

  • A speaker from Pearson (to be confirmed) who will be providing an overview of the key headlines from the final report from the Independent Apprenticeship Policy Group.  This group has been set up to provide a clear and independent overview of the challenges facing the apprenticeship system in the UK, and to generate practical solutions.

The meeting will also offer partners an opportunity to provide updates on engagement to date in developing and delivering higher and degree apprenticeships and share issues and good practice.

Please note that this group is aimed at our university and college partners who are delivering or planning to develop higher and degree apprenticeships, although anyone with an interest in this area is also welcome to attend.
