22nd February 2012: Access to the Professions
Event description
Access to the Professions
Spring 2012 will see the publication of the first annual Social Mobility and Child Poverty Report and it is fitting that one of our earliest events in 2012 is Access to the Professions, which aims to consider how progression routes into the professions might become more facilitative to students in universities and colleges.
The event will be opened by Carl Gilleard, Chief Executive of the Association of Graduate Recruiters. It is, also, supported by IAM, the Institute of Administrative Management, a member of Linking London and CMI, the Chartered Management Institute, a new partner, whose representatives will give an overview of current issues and challenges in access within the Business sector. Finally, delegates will hear from Parity Talent Management, who work with the education and commercial sectors to address graduate employability.
Who Should Attend?
The event will be of interest to staff in HE / FE who are interested in learning more about progression to the professions. It will also interest staff wanting to update themselves on national developments in Careers support work in this area.
