The first Access Practitioner meeting of this academic year will include an input from Julie Mizon, Access Manager at QAA, who will be providing an update on the latest developments and what’s coming down the line, including the forthcoming review of the grading scheme.

Marisa Castellini, Head of Access to HE at OCN London, will be updating the group on Access recruitment and we will also be sharing a summary of UCAS applications and acceptances for 2018 entry, with a particular focus on nursing and midwifery.

Linking London staff will also be sharing their mapping of HE entry requirements for Access students for 2019 entry, exploring good and poor practice and comparing these requirements with previous application cycles.

This meeting is aimed at HE and FE academic and admissions staff, advisers and widening participation staff and those with a responsibility for induction and retention and success. However, anyone with an interest in Access to HE Diploma learners and progression to HE is also welcome to attend.
